In the actual operation of electrical equipment, due to various factors, such as human error, incorrect connection, animal intrusion, etc., will lead to the generation of fault arc in the switch cabinet. When most accidents occur, there are operators who carry out maintenance or installation work in the switch cabinet. In this case, the cabinet door is usually open, and the open cabinet door makes the complete set of cabinet anti-arc function lost, so MDmax adopts the active anti-arc device-ABB TVOC-2 to protect the safety of operators and switch cabinets.

In the MDmax switch cabinet, an arc light sensor can be installed optionally. When the arc control system detects the occurrence of a fault arc, it will send a trip signal to the circuit breaker. The detection reaction time in this case is 1 millisecond. The time from the moment when the short-circuit arc is monitored to the circuit breaker breaking the fault circuit is only 35 to 45 milliseconds, which greatly limits the harm caused by the fault arc, saves lives and reduces equipment damage.
